“I spotted this beautiful Banksia branch lying on a coastal bush track near my home. All thanks to the gorgeous Black Cockatoos who were noisily feeding in the area, snapping off branches as they gorged on the Banksia fruit high above. I was captivated by the sculptural forms of the leaves as they curled and danced ballerina-like, with the ring of lower leaves giving the impression of a tutu. It was begging to be drawn…and drawn large!”
