“I was inspired to paint this stunning purple sunrise, from a photograph taken by my friend Sarah. For a time we lived on the same street in Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast in Qld. It's rare for me to use photo reference that isn't my own, but this image captivated me, and reminded me of good times sitting on that beach bench with friends.”
